Gin and Tonic:
ASTRONOMER

The stars aligned with our gin, the fresh combination of grapefruit
and the sweetness of cinnamon.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Lumus gin

  • Grapefruit peel or a slice of grapefruit for added flavor

  • 1 cinnamon stick (if you don't have any, you can use cinnamon powder)

  • 200ml of Tonic Water

Procedure

  1. Pour the 2oz of Lumus into your glass, add the grapefruit and cinnamon stick. Light the cinnamon a little to release its aroma, allowing it to infuse into the flavour of Lumus London Dry Gin.

  2. Add ice to the glass and top with tonic water.

Remember that when preparing Gin and Tonic the order of the factors DOES alter the product.

What do we mean by this?

We have seen on countless occasions that Bartenders and restaurants mix everything at the same time, we must remember that our Lumus gin goes first and then the botanicals or spices, we wait a few minutes for the flavors to combine before adding the ice and tonic water.

A personal recommendation for every time you prepare one of these drinks is to enjoy the moment, let it infuse, mix the ingredients very well and just before pouring your tonic water, take a moment, bring it to your nose and enjoy the aroma of this constellation.

You can make this recipe with ground cinnamon in case you don't have cinnamon sticks on hand.
